Experience

National Trial Practice

  • 2024: Trial team retained approximately 2 weeks before trial to take over as trial counsel.  After two weeks of evaluation and strategy including intense argument on pretrial matters, and 2.5 days of trial, Plaintiff accepted a reasonable settlement offer that was only a fraction of the demands prior to Taylor Anderson’s appearance in the case.
  • 2023: Obtained full defense verdict on behalf of client who was sued after a motor vehicle accident that occurred with both parties claiming they had the right of way.  Plaintiff claimed that Defendant’s negligence had caused significant permanent injury to her cervical spine, requiring radiofrequency ablations annually for life.  Plaintiff asked the jury for an award of $2,400,000 at trial.  The jury returned a verdict finding for Defendant on the elements of liability, causation, and damages, and awarded the Plaintiff $0.
  • 2023: Obtained favorable verdict on behalf of a client who was sued after a motor vehicle accident.  Defendant admitted that he breached his duty to Plaintiff by causing the accident while driving without a license.  In addition to severe and debilitating injury to her low back requiring treatment for life, Plaintiff claimed significant wage loss, destruction of personal property, and foreclosure on her home.  Defendant won summary judgment and successfully excluded any consideration of punitive damages by the jury.  The Court issued a summary judgment order indicating that plaintiff was injured in the accident, leaving the jury to only contemplate the nature and extent of the injuries and damages.  Plaintiff asked for an award of $1,900,000, and the jury returned a verdict just over $35,000 in damages, consistent with the defendant’s theory of the case and presentation of evidence.
  • 2022: Obtained a full defense verdict on behalf of a client following a rear end accident.  Plaintiff asked the jury for an award of $1,950,000 at trial.  The jury returned a full defense verdict, finding that Defendant had acted in a manner consistent with a reasonable person under the circumstances, and therefore had not breached his duty to Plaintiff.  Plaintiff was awarded $0. Verdict AFFIRMED by Nevada Supreme Court on May 30, 2024.
  • 2022: Obtained a favorable verdict for a client at trial.  Plaintiff claimed severe and debilitating injuries to her neck and low back, which she alleged she would require care for the duration of her lifetime.  Plaintiff initially sought treatment for only three months, and then returned to care at the direction of her attorney after no treatment for an entire year.  Plaintiff asked the jury for an award of $1,800,000 for her past and future care and pain and suffering.  The jury returned a verdict awarding only the first three months of care, and minimal pain and suffering totaling $9,465.
  • 2022: Obtained a full defense verdict in trial where Plaintiff asked the jury for an award of $7,600,000 for past and future medical care and pain and suffering.  Plaintiff and Defendant were involved in a side swipe accident, and the jury was presented with multiple versions of events through live testimony and impeachment.  Ultimately the jury found that Plaintiff had failed to meet her burden to show that Defendant breached her duty to Plaintiff and awarded Plaintiff $0. Verdict AFFIRMED by Nevada Supreme Court on May 28, 2024.
  • 2021: Obtained a favorable award for clients, eliminating claims for future care and reducing pain and suffering award requested by Plaintiff to less than 10% after proving that Plaintiff committed perjury while testifying at trial.
  • 2019: In a solo trial, obtained a full defense verdict for a client who had admitted to causing an accident.  The jury found that it was not believable that Plaintiff sustained injury in the accident after waiting three months to seek treatment and awarded the Plaintiff $0.
  • 2018: Obtained a full defense verdict on liability for a client who had been targeted by a fraudster who attempted to blame defendant for his own actions which resulted in an accident.
