Darlene has worked as a litigation attorney since 2002 specializing in handling matters involving insurance defense, busíness lítigation, personal injury, premises liability and general civil litigation. She has litigated matters at all levels, including a case at the 9th Circuit Court of Appeal, and has successfully handled innumerable dispositive motions, trials, binding arbitrations, and mediations.
Darlene has deposed and defended hundreds of expert and percipient witness depositions, has successfully drafted and argued all forms of pre-trial and dispositive motions, has handled hundreds of mediations, has arbitrated matters to decision and has prepared many matters to trial, to include preparation of trial witness examinations, prepared and argued motions in limine, and jury selection.
As a graduate of Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego, Darlene has also studied abroad for a semester at the University of Vienna, Austria. She is a Massachusetts native who first began working in the legal field as a litigation paralegal when she relocated to the Los Angeles area in 1988. Her tremendous litigation and trial acumen was first developed as a litigation paralegal for a Los Angeles based firm specializing in intellectual property, business, and commercial litigation.
